THIS WEBSITE WILL CONCENTRATE ON THE SOUTHERN AFRICAN COUNTRIES, HOWEVER THE WHOLE AFRICA WILL ALSO BE COVERED. WEATHER SATELLITE PHOTOS OF THE WHOLE WORLD WILL BE PUBLISHED - ALSO SOME SPECIALIZED ITEMS.

To maintain the preferred and only source of true professional weather satellite photos in the world for Southern Africa, the African continent- including the rest of the world- free to all.

To provide, free to all, to the people of Southern Africa, the African continent and the rest of the world, a concise highly professional and very user-friendly weather website that conveniently pulls together the most valuable and frequently accessed regular updated weather data on the Internet.

* Part of the equipment of the company is an excellent equipped radio ham station- with a fully qualified radio ham-ZS6KOB- the owner of the website. During emergency situations applicable weather information will be transmitted world wide when all other modes of communication fails.
* To accommodate and fully support HAMNET, the emergency communications division of the South African Radio League, who always need to be aware of adverse weather conditions around the country.
* Eumetsat: only "essential data" will be published on the website.
* Full translate component- including Swahili to accommodate the African languages.

2. This is a private web site. From the 22 nd of February 2010 it will be a family business- with the following people being part of the business. Various experts from outside are- even abroad- contracted into the business.

3.2 Experts from outside( names will not be made available to protect my personal intellectual property)

Person b. BSc(Hons.)- Computer Science: Responsible for software and some programmes.

Person c. From abroad- well known world IT expert on programming- developed most of the programmes for the business.

3.3 Eumetsat: Responsible for the development, launching and maintenance of the satellites- in Darmstadt in Germany. Daily contact with their top engineers via e- mails. Kobus Botha also act as a consultant on the C Band for Eumetsat.

My Eumetsat contract number= 50000559. Expiry date= 31 03 2013. Renewable after 2013.

3.3 Other sources of information: Member of three discussion groups abroad - on satellites and the applicable programmes from Eumetsat.

3.4 This web site is registered internationally. All the necessary licences from Eumetsat as well as for the programmes- also to be published on a web site are registered.

3.5 All people involved in the website will be highly qualified. Qualifications obtained from low quality institutions- including universities- will not be recognised. No honorary qualifications will be recognised- except when it was issued on real merit.

I am a retired professor in Agriculture and the previous dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the former Pretoria University of Technology. I also am a keen gardener( author of three books on gardening, more than 400 radio talks and many TV talks on gardening)-also an amateur weather enthusiast and a registered radio ham (ZS6KOB). I am also very much interested in photography- have a diploma in photography and awarded several national and international prizes.
